Here’s Brittney… half-senior, half-model.

Brittney was amazing to work with. She brings a focus and intensity to the shoot that is uncommon for someone untrained. And I loved her ideas!! I’d like to take credit for the irrigation spigot-thing, but that was all her.

Beyond that, she’s an incredibly sweet young lady with a level head and a bright future.

Um…all I can say is, Wow!

For a blazing July mid-morning in Memphis, Bianca came through like a trained model for this amazing photoshoot! The always-beautiful, always-spunky Bianca was going for an 80’s Rock theme… complete with record album covers, red leather, and stilettos. What with ignoring cat-callers, dodging traffic and amusing wall signs (even though I never noticed it!), we had quite the photo shoot.

So, enough of me. Here’s Bianca…

P.S.: For those of you under the age of 15, a record is kinda like a CD, just a LOT bigger.

I can’t show you Ally’s pictures without sharing an amazing story, as well.

I had the pleasure of shooting the Austin family a couple of years back, and the images from that shoot were instant faves.Recently, Ally expressed an interest in horses. Jason (Ally’s dad) took time out of his busy schedule to begin investigating. He tried out several horses, riding different ones over several month’s time, to make sure he found just the right horse for Ally. All of this without her ever knowing it! And then, when he found the “one”, he presented it to her as a total surprise.

My hat goes off to you, Jason!

This post has been a while in coming, but here at last are Hung and Helen and their three boys! We came in contact with this beautiful family through Grassroots Salon in Blytheville. They opted for a photo session at their lovely home, and wanted a family portrait. The featured image below is hanging in their store, Michael Jewelers in Blytheville. Of course, we made some great images in addition to the main portrait, as well.

I’m Back!!!

Wow, so long since I’ve posted!!! My apologies to all my faithful fans. It’s been a wild ride this past month. I’ve been shooting like crazy, and I’ve been on three different multi-day trips (to Charleston (SC), Little Rock and Saint Louis).

During one of those trips, I completed my final examination for becoming a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America. You’ll hear more about that soon!

Still, I hate to keep you waiting to see what we’ve been up to, lately. So I’m going to try to do some catching up. These next several blog posts will be a mixture of some older stuff from a few months ago and some more recent stuff from the past few weeks.

So buckle up, ’cause here we go!

Welcome back, Madison! As one of our senior models this year, Madison had an extended private senior session. Well… she came sporting her own look, and we like it!!!

Madison is a calm, confident young lady who has a lot going on. This gorgeous gal is an A+ student in school, quite well-sought-out by some impressive colleges, and has a very level head on her shoulders. She loves animals, as well, and is planning to become a veterinarian.

She’s one amazing lady! And she had one amazing photo shoot.

Here is the hilarious Hillary, full of fun and fashion. Hillary is as famous for her ready smile and heartfelt laughter as she is for her fashion sense. We had a blast on the streets of Memphis during this sensational session. We even got the rare opportunity to shoot from a rooftop! In spite of the blistering heat, an all-around excellent time.

Zach is one our 2011 senior models. You’ll remember him from the model sessions post from a couple of months ago. Here, now, is Zach’s individual senior session, and all I can say is “Rock on!”

Zach’s personal style is a curious mix of laid-back and intense. For all that he was an excellent choice for our senior model program, Zach could easily become a professional model in his own right. I think you’ll agree.
