About Me

I'm Bill, owner and principle photographer. I am a native Californian, transplanted in the mid-South. I have always been interested and involved in the arts. Photography is my chosen field, but I have backgrounds in both fine art and graphic design, as well. This gives me a rather unique perspective for my area.

I am passionate about making beautiful, artful, and meaningful images. Images that do more than make you go "wow".

I strive to create images that carry a depth of meaning and sensitivity that reveals the spark of the human spirit and connects with something within us all.

Together with my wife, Judith, I work toward consistently exceeding our client's expectations. Our "mission" is to create images that touch the heart, stir the soul, and inspire a passion for living artfully.

I am constantly pushing myself, trying to expand the limits of my own creativity. Ultimately, for me, it's all about beautiful, powerful images.

Be inspired.

Christey! | Blytheville Fine Art, Fashion, Equine Photographer

I have been so excited about showing this shoot ever since I came back from the lake! I knew we had done something truly amazing, but I didn’t realize how amazing until I started working on these images. Now, after having spent time with them, delicately crafting them and weaving them together in my mind, I am ready to share them with you.

This is the first session I’ve done of this kind. For this session, we approached Christey about doing something completely different. Where normally I am inspired by personalities, relationships and locations, I drew my inspiration for this shoot completely from my imagination. I conjured the storyline and then pre-visualized each image, all prior to the shoot.

I visited the location beforehand, scoping it out and letting myself be inspired by the mood of the woods. After the shoot, I treated each image in the way that is deserved, but always with the thread of concept flowing from one image to the next, completing the story form.

So this is my visual journal… my image essay. I hope you will enjoy this for more than stunning photography and artistic treatment. There is a strong theme that I hope will equally challenge and inspire you.

Here, at last, is Christey.

May 24, 2010 - 9:48 am Bill - Erin, thanks much, my friend. This was one of the most energizing shoots I've done. I spent an extraordinary amount of time in the process of artistic remastering to create the exact mood I was after and evoke meaning and message from each piece. But every time I finished one I was flying high. Quite an experience.

May 24, 2010 - 9:52 am Bill - Detsil...LOL! Thank you! And you're right, this is a timeless artistic vision, but also a beautiful portrayal of the stunning Christey that will be cherished for generations. Okay, so you're up! Let's get together and talk about your session....

You outdo yourself every time, Bill. Keep up the great work.....It never gets old!!!

May 25, 2010 - 10:09 am Bill - Karie, thank you so much!!! I know you're one of my biggest fans, so your comments really make an impact. Christey really does have a heart for her beautiful friend; it was a joy capturing that connection.

May 25, 2010 - 10:10 am Bill - Todd, thanks, man. You know me...it's just not in my blood to do something half-way. Lol! And I'm looking forward to the next one as well! :)

May 25, 2010 - 10:13 am Bill - Lou... I cannot tell you how much your comments mean. Looking into the soul of a person and reflecting that through my art is one of the greatest honors and privileges I have as an artist. To know, from those who would know best, that my vision was clear and potent is deeply satisfying. Honestly, though, Christey was SO open and devoted to my vision for the session that the outcome was never in question.

May 25, 2010 - 10:16 am Bill - Gib, I could not agree more! That's why I am passionate about art. Capturing beauty...more so inner than outer beauty...is both the pervue and responsibility of true art. Let the story live on...

May 26, 2010 - 7:51 am Robyn Starnes - Bill each time you do what you do I think you have out done yourself. Breath taking. Of course Christey is beautiful so that makes it easier.

May 28, 2010 - 2:49 pm Bill - Thanks, Robyn! My goal truly is to amaze myself...and I reached it with this shoot. :) Christey is beautiful, certainly, but she also totally bought into my vision, and that's what makes these images sing.

September 2, 2010 - 11:43 am Bill - Thanks, Chez. But if there's one thing I know: there's only one God, and I'm not Him. ;)

September 2, 2010 - 11:45 am Bill - Thank You, Alyssa! I intend to do more sessions like this; I just seem to be lacking in willing subjects, right now.
